Re: Gàidhlig on the Go—LearnBots (from ANA Fall 2012)

Someone asked on our Facebook page about availability of this app for platforms other than iOS (i.e., other than iPhone & iPad). I don't review apps except for iOS, since that's all I have, and apps can behave quite differently on other platforms. But I'm happy to point folks to this page, where...

Re: Selected Articles from Our Newsletter

It's worth noting, too, that part of the point of putting these articles here on the forum site (and in a forum of their own) is that it will provide a place to discuss the articles, ask questions, etc. Each will have its own thread.

Failte, Delyssa. Tha sinn caran slaodach an-seo sna laithean seo, ach tha mi cinnteach gum bi daoine eile ann. You might well find someone here who would do Skype or email conversations with you. There are also several folks who teach via Skype, and at least two Skype-based conversation groups (I've...

Will a confirmation letter or e-mail be sent? I sent off my registration this week. I am looking forward to the classes. What kind of progress can I expect at beginner level? I'm the registrar, and I have my database set up for the event now, so I should be able to send confirmation emails within a...

Fàilte, a Mhaighread. Tha sinn toilichte gu bheil thu ann an-seo.

I'm sorry to be so slow in welcoming you. We've been rather overwhelmed here with discussions of the LiveMocha Gaelic course.

Will you be teaching the Gaelic song course at SMO this coming summer?

Re: Just a question for members...

I think this depends to a large degree on the dialects that the two speak. My wife and I travelled in Ireland for the first time last year, and one of my goals was to try to answer this question from the viewpoint of the Scots Gaelic speaker. Because of the instructors I've had long-term (by phone a...

Re: Translation request

I don't have a translation, but I got a kick out of the first answer you got on Gaelic-B: 'Would anyone even say such a thing in English these days?'
