Mòd Nàiseanta nan Stàitean - Rèidio Guth nan Gàidheal

Ann am program sonraichte bho An Saoghal Againne, tha Mìcheal MacAoidh a’ toirt sùil air Mòd Nàiseanta nan Stàitean, a chaidh a chumail ann an Ligonier, Pennsylvania. Seo seo an naoidheamh Mòd air fhichead, agus bha mòran anns a’ Mhòd seo a bha sonraichte. Bha an t-seinn air leth math, bha a’ bhuidheann a chruinnich ann air tòrr spòrs a ghabhail, agus bha breitheamh uabhasach fhèin math againn am-bliadhna – Anna Latharna NicIlliosa. Nach tèid sinn air ais le Mìcheal airson cluinntinn cuid de na farpaisichean, agallamhan le daoine a chaidh ann, nam measg Dòmhnall Iain MacIlledhuin, a bhuannaich Bonn Òr a’ Chomuinn an-uiridh, agus, gu dearbh, na h-òrain aig Anna NicAlastair agus Seumas Ruff, an dithis a ghlèidh am Bonn Òrr againne am-bliadhna.

In a special program from An Saoghal Againne, Michael MacKay looks at the US National Mòd, that was held in Ligonier, Pennsylvania. This was the twenty-ninth Mòd, and there was much in this Mòd that was special. The singing was particularly good, the group that gathered there had lots of fun, and we had an extremely good adjudicator this year – Anne Lorne Gillies. Won’t you go back with Michael to hear some of the contestants, interviews with people who attended, including Dòmhnall Iain Brown, the men’s Gold Medalist from the Royal Mòd last year, and, of course, the songs from Anne Alexander and James Ruff, the ones who won our Gold Medal this year.
