This is a thread for those attending Grandfather Mountain Song and Language Week who may be looking for transportation to and from Banner Elk to Charlotte Airport.
Individuals are responsible for making their own arrangements - this is just a space to facilitate that.

Here's our ride board!
2016 Gaelic Song and Language Week is almost here!
Post your needs here. Where are you coming from? Are you flying into Asheville, Charlotte or Johnson City? Can you give someone a ride from one of those airports or ?
Driving a long way and need another driver?
Many possibilities! Post them here!

Re: Grandfather Mountain Week car pooling
Is anyone planning a road trip to the 2016 Grandfather Mountain in the NY/NJ/CT area? Am able to drive. I live in Manhattan, but can arrange to meet up.
I also would be open to taking Amtrak/Megabus to Pennsylvania (e.g. Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh) to meet up with someone who's driving from there. It's also easy (and relatively inexpensive) to take Megabus from NYC to Washington, DC to meet someone driving from Virginia/Maryland.

I know Linda Morrison is looking for a lift from the Washington area - I'm driving down on Sunday morning, I believe - the earlier the better!

I'll need to check the Megabus schedule. When you would like to do the pick up?

Re: Grandfather Mountain Week car pooling
I will be driving from Asheville to Banner Elk on Sunday, middle of the day (I'm flexible on the time) -- if anyone needs a ride from the Asheville airport or anywhere else in the Asheville area.
I will have a mid-size car, so I can probably take two or three people as long as nobody has a huge amount of luggage.
